For those of you who were unaware, now you are aware. Alive and Kicking is the proud host of the up and running site, WAR-Theory.com. We'd encourage you guys to start using this site, not only to gain your own information from others, but to also start helping to spread the general knowledge of destruction classes among us.
We would however like to warn you about two things:
1. This website will not function in the same way as this one. You won't be given any special permissions or leeway regarding your posts, meaning, if you don't follow the rules, you are going to get the boot.
2. We all know that Alive and Kicking is the owner of this website, but we would prefer it if you would all keep that on the down low. I don't think it would come off looking too good if people acted like they owned the site just because they were a part of the associated guild. So to clarify, don't make mention that the site belongs to us. If people happen to figure that out in their own travels, then they figure it out.
We hope you guys not only provide lots of information but also gain knowledge from using this site. Most importantly, have fun, and...

| Weekly Update #28 |
It's that time of week again, folks.
New Applicants: We are closing recruitment for Black Orcs, Disciples of Khaine, Sorcerers/Sorceresses, and Shaman. If your application is currently active, I apologize, but we are going to have to stick to our guns here. We feel that regarding the above classes, we have more than enough people playing them to fill in the gaps wherever necessary. We thank you for your application nonetheless, and if/when recruitment opens back up for those classes, I will be the first person to let you all know.
Requirements for recruitment have been updated. Applicants from this point out must be BR 30, RR 25.
Inactive Players: In the forums there is a folder labeled 'Leave of Absence'. The reason it is there is so you can use it in case you are going to be away from the game for a prolonged period of time. I want members to understand this: if you post in the folder, no matter how long you plan on being away, you will not be removed from the roster. As you might have guessed though, this brings me to my next point.
If your character is inactive for a period of more than 10 days (without making mention of your absence in the appropriate folder), you will be removed from the guild roster.
I understand that we have a solid base of members who are casual, and I personally think it is a great thing to have those players. However, I don't think it is too difficult a thing to ask to at least log on once every 10 days. If there are any issues that might prevent you from doing so, just let me or any of the other officers know.
Gunbad: For those of you who came along for the ride in Gunbad, I am sure you were as pleased as I was. Not only did we clear every available PQ, a few of our members also picked up their set pieces from the instance bosses. We congratulate those of you got epic loot from the public quests (which after all said and done seemed like half the guild). I was also glad to see that most of you took the 'vent' portion of last weeks update to heart. If you are interested in running with us this week, keep an eye out in guild chat.
I know a few members couldn't make it because of conflicting schedules from RL. This is perfectly fine, and if you cannot make an event because of something like that, you will not be questioned. However, if we are attempting to fill up a warband, and I see people sitting in scenarios, it tends to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Scenarios can be done any time of the day regardless of how many guild members you have at your disposal. I would highly encourage those who are online at the time of the event to come and help gear out your fellow guild members. That being said, I would like to thank those of you who were well over the recommended level for Gunbad, but still came and helped out. We know who you were.
Scenario Groups: I've heard people talking about this at several different points in time. If there are people online, and you want to do a scenario, do not wait around for a group. Start your own! Too many times have there been multiple people in the guild looking for a scenario group, and nobody has been stepping up to head them. You don't have to be an officer to lead a group, you just need to initiative to get one started.
Stay classy.

| Weekly Update #27 |
A lot of stuff to cover in this weekly update, guys.
Potential Recruits: We've had a very big influx of new applicants over this past week. Whether or not you end up getting accepted into the guild, we appreciate the time that you put into your application, and you can be rest assured that we will give as much attention as we can to said application.
Currently, we are looking for Witch Elves, Magi, Squig Herders, and Marauders. Please refer to our application form to see the requirements.
Next note of business, we'd like to welcome a substantial amount of members who had their application accepted over this past week. Please be sure you make them feel at home, and I encourage everyone to participate in scenarios/open RvR as much as you can as a group.
Guild Tax: Now comes the time where I explain the guild tax that so many of you have been questioning. As I'm sure a lot of you know, our guild tax was raised to 20%, and our guild vault was simultaneously drained of all funds. Mythic, unfortunately, failed to mention that when a guild claims a keep for their own, they are charged 20g every hour. It is NOT our intention to claim a keep 24 hours a day. Such a thing would be a very unwise investment of guilds funds, especially at this stage in the game where coin is harder to come by than if everyone was level 40. Also, one must realize that this 20% tax will affect only the coin that is looted from a corpse. In the broad scope of things, this is a rather small amount of money compared to quest rewards, vendored loot, etc. However, with a flat tax from all of our members, we will be able to reap the rewards later on in the game. I'd like everyone to know that this money that goes into the guild vault is responsible for the purchase of standards, siege weapons, guild rank unlocks, etc., and the guild thanks you for your contribution thus far.
Suggestion Box: A lot of people have been complaining about the Tor Anroc scenario. I've lurked on the warhammeralliance boards for a small while, and I've noticed that both order and destruction complaints are being voiced evenly. If you have a problem with something in the game (in this case this scenario (which a lot of people seem to hate)) let them know through a suggestion in game. Just because we aren't in beta anymore doesn't mean we can't continue to provide Mythic with feedback.
Saving the best for last, of course.
Vent Etiquette: If you are in a group that is participating in a scenario, we encourage members to be actively speaking through Ventrilo. If you would like to shoot the shit with another guild member, by all means, do it through Ventrilo.
If you are participating in a keep siege, or a large scale guild activity, and you are in ventrilo, you need to shut the fuck up.
I don't like to come off as being crass, but I think this is a situation that warrants it. I (and I don't believe I am alone here) and sick and tired of listening to 10+ people talking over one another in vent, especially during an event which requires both communication and coordination on a massive scale. Let this be a warning to you. If you are not an officer, and we are participating in a large scale event such as a keep siege, you use vent to listen, not to speak. If something is on your mind, that is what /warband or /guild chat is for. If there is something that can't possibly wait, and you have to let somebody know, you send a direct tell to your race officer. Once again, this is your warning. This brings me to my next point...
Guild Officers: I've been contacted by a few people about a problem concerning members reporting their problems to the wrong people. If you are a member of the chaos race, send your questions comments to Ariad and Ron. They are both aptly prepared to handle any of your questions. The same goes for the other two races. If you meet somebody that has a question about our guild, direct them towards an officer, not a guild leader. Also, the only instance where you should be going to an officer outside of your race with a question is if there are no available officers online for your race. We've been pretty lenient with this to date, but we'd like everyone to make an effort to start getting acquainted with your own officers.
Spud: From what I understand, Spud is back in action. For those who were unaware of the situation, extenuating circumstances prevented Spud from making it in game at launch, and thus he contacted me about giving up his officer position until he was capable of actually getting in game. I approached Dylio on a very short notice, and personally asked him to fill in while Spud was MIA. So as a heads up, we will be having a changing of the guard at some point this week. I'd like to thank Dylio for stepping up on such short notice, and I hope the guild appreciates the help that he has provided during his tenure.
Respect: I will not touch on this as it is already clearly defined in the charter. Dishonoring that clause will help you find your way to both my shitlist, and a one way ticket out of this guild.
